Ok so i wanted to throw some data out here as to why I was pushing for more raid awareness last week. We have been making decent progression on every fight but some of the bosses we will be facing soon as well as Megaera which we are currently on aren't as forgiving as what we have seen so far. It seemed like we were behind on healing for the fight last week and that seemed odd as we are 3 healing the encounter. After doing some research I saw that our hps was petering off even though the dtps was increasing later in the fight. It turns out the GRGRGRG strat requires raids to be below the average for kill time so that the healers don't go oom. We were regularly tracking for an 8min kill, which is a good bit over average. Now how this relates to last night is that its fine to take extra avoidable non deadly damage as long as a team's dps'ers are performing above average(ie we could've used that strat if it meant less mechanics to avoid and translated into above average dps, resulting in a fast kill and the healers able to blow mana at the end of the fight). But overall our team isn't doing so well on the meters. As a result it's already harder on the healers due to how long our kills are taking, and the extra damage taken is just making harder encounters require more pulls than they should every week. Posting the averages for our dps below to give some perspective. Note that these percentages are compared to OTHERS OF YOUR SAME CLASS/SPEC. These are the averages for every kill on all the ToT bosses that i have logged so far.
