After going 11/14 in Heroic (Mythic) SoO, we're back from a two-month break and prepping for WoD raiding right from the onset. The plan is to grow the raid to 25 people, split up in groups the first two weekends for 5-man dungeon grinding, and head in to Heroic Raids the first week they open. We have positions open for most classes and roles. We'll only be taking the best applicants that are capable of raiding at a high level and are committed to grinding out Mythic raid bosses to reap the ultimate spoils!

Our team, originally from the Eredar-US server decided to move over to Aerie Peak to raid under the Convet to Raid Banner. Best move we ever made. Even though we got off to a late start in MoP, we ended up going 11/14 Mythic in SoO. We achived our goals for the expansion, met a lot of new friends and had a great time!

We're looking for more excellent, commited raiders looking for a mythic-capable weekend morning team. We want a hardcore-mindset towards progression with minimal time commitment (6hrs/week) and a positive atmosphere. Our ultimate goal is to finish all heroic content and most mythic content while it's current top-level tier. Thusly, a high level of play, commitment, and optimization is expected.

Rules

-75% attendance is expected at a minimum. This is measured over the last four weeks of active raiding. If you don't meet this standard, you may be placed on stand-by. If you are <10 minutes late it counts as a half-day for attendance calculation. More than 10 minutes late counts as a missed day.
-100% optimization of gems, enchants and reforging through "askmrrobot" at a minimum. If you are a theory-crafter and have different stat-weights that improve your performance, that may be acceptable. If your item is good enough to bring to raid, it's good enough to have the best enchant on it!
-Raid Awareness. We all make mistakes, but repeatedly dying to a mechanic is not acceptable.
-Performance. Members need to perform at a level expected for their class and role. This means overall output and the ability to utilize all a class's special abilities when needed.
-Attitude. We expect teammates to give their best on every attempt. We expect you to focus and remove any distractions while working progression. We want to make the most of your, and our time. And we expect you to do it with a smile because we're playing for fun along with the glory :) No Jerks!

Someone who doesn't meet these criteria will politely be asked to improve with helpful suggestions from us. If that still doesn't correct an issue after ample time has been given, we'll ask them to stand-by until proficiency can be achieved. We don't want to hold the team back for one person and that goes for everyone.

Composition

We'd like to have 23-25 full-time team members spanning the classes. We've found that this is a good number to have as a couple people usually have to miss or are willing to sit. Stand-by's willing to work their way up or that don't want the rigid time-commitment are also welcome. Stand-by's will be given attendance credit for being online during the entire raid. This way, they can step in and immediately have access to gear.

Loot

Loot is distributed through a simplified DKP system. You gain points for attendance and if the item is the biggest upgrade for you vs. someone else. You also gain a point if you are in a "drought" where you haven't won an item in three attended raids. Points are temporarily lost after winning an item in order to spread the loot around. Loot has not been a problem with our team and a team-first mentality definitely helps. A spread sheet will be posted every week recording drops so that everything is transparent.

Application

Please fill out the following Application and post it in the thread below if you are interested in joining us for some awesome weekend raiding in Warlords of Draenor. Send a tell to any team member in-game to alert us to your app. We will reply to your app by private message within a couple days.

Hey guys! Been trying to find a Saturday and Sunday morning/afternoon group since i got here. Haven't had much luck. Hopefully my toon is far enough along to give me a shot. I'm relatively new to 90, so i'm not that far along, but i'm getting there. I've been playing since patch 1.1 and playing a Pally since BC. Mostly tanking experience through BC and Wrath. I didn't play for almost all of Cataclysm, so it was a little weird coming back and seeing so much new stuff in the game. I'm very easy to get along with, and i raid to have fun. Fortunately, practicing fights and killing bosses is what i find fun. Not there to just joke around... but it helps with trash and downtimes.
If you find someone with a bit better gear, or a bit higher dps, i won't blame you for taking them... but i will definitely be there every sat/sun rdy to go.

Oh, i forgot to say too... i've been on Ereder since vanilla. I've had many names there lol. Used to raid with Diab Soul. Not when they were alliance, but when they switched to Horde as Diab Soule. Were one of the better guilds on the server for quite a while

Hey Booker, thanks for your interest! Keep working on that gear and you're welcome to stand-by and fill a spot if we need you. If you are interested in joining the team as a full member, we'll need you to fill out an application which we are now implementing and sort out where you could fit into the group. Things are still in flux a bit here but we'd like to get started next week 2/23/13 if possible. And well met Eredarian!

Have you read the Team Rules and agree to our Standards? Yes Sir!

Raid Experience: BC - Full clear Tier 4. (5/6)SSC (3/4)TK (2/6)MH. (Hey, I was just getting started and raiding was hard!:P). Wrath - DNP. Cata - (6/6)BWD (4/4)BoT (2/2)ToFW (7/7)FL (8/8)(3/8H)DS. MoP - (6/6)MSV (2/6)HoF

What are your raiding goals for this expansion? Clear all Normal content while it's current and some heroics. Have a bunch of fun progressing through bosses with great teammates and making some memories along the way!

What makes a raiding group especially good for you? When everyone comes prepared, focused, and on their game. A new boss kill is always rewarding. Add in some fun personalities and we're good to go.

What factors lead to a less successful raiding experience for you? When people are tired, cranky, not prepared, and making stupid mistakes that hinder progress. Loot drama is no good. The best upgrade for the team is the best upgrade for me too and we should be happy for that person and the team, not jealolus or whiny if I didnt personally win the item.

Personal
What real life obligations might impact your attendance or ability to focus on raiding? (family, school, work) I ocasionally might have to miss a weekend here or there to spend with friends or family but 75% attendance will not be a problem.

Tell us something interesting or fun about yourself. I live in Salt Lake City and love to ski, camp in southern Utah, listen to techno and WoW Podcasts like Convert to Raid and The Instance. I'm a nerd a heart but have a Bullet Bike in the garage and two Boxer dogs. I also fell off a balcony last fall (yes drinking was involved) but the back pain is almost gone now! :)

Anything else you want to add? Looking forward to a new adventure and meeting great new people to raid with.

Thanks for your App! We’ll reply via personal message.

What are your raiding goals for this expansion? To clear all content before any nerfs come out.

What makes a raiding group especially good for you? Good team work; Having experienced players w/ good communications skills. Practicing as a group and achieving kills.

What factors lead to a less successful raiding experience for you? poor attitudes, people who are unwilling to help the group as a whole - selfishness toward gearing.

Personal
What real life obligations might impact your attendance or ability to focus on raiding? (family, school, work) I work mon-fri, and I have most weekends off; this team will work well for me.

Heroic Weekend Morning Raid Team App
Character Name/Realm:
Juurei Aerie Peak-US
Class/Spec: Shaman/Resto
Armory URL:http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/cairne/Juurei/advanced
Have you read the Team Rules and agree to our Standards? Yes.

Raid Experience: WotLK (ToGC, ICC up to Sindragosa), Cataclysm (tiers 11,12,13, normal raiding on each tier), MoP (first two bosses in MV (I've been following guides for all the other fights.))

What are your raiding goals for this expansion? Just to raid and have a good time with a solid team.

What makes a raiding group especially good for you? A good raid team to me is a team that helps each other to achieve victory, even the stuff no one likes to do. We raid as a team, which means we need to act like one. We're only as strong as the weakest member, so being able to help people become more within the team is pertinent. Also, being able to laugh at yourselves really helps.

What factors lead to a less successful raiding experience for you? Tardy raiders (without warning), not being able to turn to a raid member and say, "hey, ya done goofed," and moving on trying to get better, people not being optimized for raiding and researching their class going into a raid (taking a look at boss strats and planning out which healers bust out which full-stop AoEs at what time, for example)

Personal
What real life obligations might impact your attendance or ability to focus on raiding? (family, school, work)
None as far as I'm aware. I'm off weekends and my family lives about 500 miles away from me lol

Tell us something interesting or fun about yourself. I'm an atheist network admin working in a Diocese.

Anything else you want to add? I have been dying to raid all expansion. I got in with a team on Cairne-US and only got a few raids in before some massive drama broke out with the two top teams, so our team was dismantled to fill the raid spots. So, yeah. Fun fact.
